Donna

Donna is a valued member of the Dunsandel Childcare & Preschool teaching team, bringing with her a wealth of experience, knowledge, and a nurturing approach to early childhood education.

Donna previously worked at Dunsandel Childcare & Preschool and rejoined the team in March 2017, returning to the Pukeko classroom. Her passion for supporting the learning and development of young children, alongside their whānau, is evident in her daily practice.

Living in Hororata with her husband, Donna is closely connected to her family and treasures spending time with her grandchildren. Her whānau-focused values strongly influence her teaching style, where she builds genuine relationships with children and families alike.

With over 20 years of experience working across a variety of early childhood centres throughout Canterbury, Donna also explored a new pathway as a teacher aide in a primary school setting. However, her heart remained in early childhood education, and her return to Dunsandel reflects her commitment to nurturing tamariki in their most formative years.

We are incredibly fortunate to have Donna as part of our teaching team. Her calm presence, dedication, and deep understanding of early childhood contribute meaningfully to the rich and supportive learning environment we pride ourselves on at Dunsandel Childcare & Preschool.
