Jazz

Jazz brings a rich and diverse background to her role as a kaiako, with nearly five years of teaching experience in kindergartens in India, where she completed her Bachelor of Education. In 2017, she moved to New Zealand with her husband and went on to study a Graduate Diploma in Applied Management (Level 7). During this time, she also gained valuable leadership experience, working as a manager at the Highway Inn Hotel for over three years.

Now settled in Rolleston with her husband, son Avy, and daughter Anayra (who also attends Dunsandel Childcare & Preschool), Jazz has continued to follow her long-held passion for working with young children. She joined the Dunsandel teaching team in 2023 and became a fully qualified ECE kaiako later that same year.

Jazz is passionate about creating respectful, inclusive, and nurturing environments where tamariki feel confident to express themselves in their own unique ways. She believes every child is a taonga, deserving of care, understanding, and the opportunity to be heard.

She is committed to building strong, positive relationships with tamariki, whānau, and colleagues, and brings a warm, calm, and thoughtful presence to our preschool whānau.
