Jen Greenwood
Jen has always demonstrated a strong passion for supporting, inspiring, and nurturing young children – a commitment that is consistently evident in her teaching practice. She began her early childhood education journey at the New Zealand College of Early Childhood Education, graduating in November 2010. Shortly after, Jen joined our preschool team, where she quickly became a valued and influential member. Her passion, leadership, and dedication have continued to enrich the learning environment across all areas of the centre.
In August 2013, Jen achieved full teacher registration. She now plays a key mentoring role within the centre, guiding and supporting kaiako across all three classrooms in their professional growth, teacher registration, and study pathways. Jen is known for her collaborative spirit and her ability to inspire those around her.
Beyond the centre, Jen serves as the ECE leader for Ngā Mātāpuna o te Waihora Kāhui Ako. In this role, she works alongside four local school principals to shape the vision, goals, and achievement challenges for the Kāhui Ako. This leadership group meets regularly to ensure alignment and strong transitions across the learning community.
Outside of her professional commitments, Jen is an active and enthusiastic supporter of her sons, Ryley and Lochie, particularly in their sporting endeavours. She is also deeply involved in the local school and sports communities, always ready to lend a helping hand..
